Let’s connect and get a sense of whether we’re the right fit. You’ll have the opportunity to share what brought you to therapy, and I’ll introduce my approach while answering any questions you may have. Together, we’ll explore next steps and decide whether to move forward in building a therapeutic alliance.
Intentional Wellness Therapy currently offers exclusively individual therapy to adults and seniors virtually across Ontario or in-person in Durham Region, Ontario, Canada.
Standard Session (60 min)
$150
Available in-person (Walk and Talk) or virtually through Jane, this standard hourly session is a space for reflection, growth, and intentional change. We begin by exploring what has brought you to therapy and collaboratively set goals to guide our work together. Each session, we check in on what’s happening in your life, explore challenges and progress, and set intentions to help you live in alignment with your values and move toward your goals.
Extended Session (90+ min)
$225+
90-minute+ sessions are available upon request for special circumstances. For returning or regular clients, extended in-person Walk and Talk sessions can take place at a special location for longer hiking day trips. These sessions may include forest bathing and nature-inspired refreshments, offering a deeper opportunity to reconnect with yourself and the healing power of the outdoors. Availability is based on clinician scheduling—reach out for further details.

Where it all started…
Emily grew up in a big family in a small town north of Toronto, where the quiet of the woods became her safe place. Amidst the busyness of home life, she found peace and belonging in nature—a connection that has stayed with her ever since.
With lived experience navigating mental illness, trauma, and the pressures of modern life, Emily understands firsthand the complexities of healing and growth. This personal journey led her to pursue a career in social work, where she combines professional expertise with a deep appreciation for the outdoors.
Emily founded Intentional Wellness Therapy in March 2023, combining her passion for social work, psychotherapy, and the outdoors to offer a unique therapeutic experience. Through Walk and Talk Therapy, she integrates the healing benefits of movement and nature, providing clients with a space for reflection, peace, and growth in natural settings.
Emily earned her Bachelor of Social Work from Lakehead University in 2014 and her Master of Social Work from the University of Windsor in 2022. Her professional journey in community and hospital social work provided valuable experience, ultimately leading her to develop her private practice, where she continues to support clients in meaningful and transformative ways.
Over the years, she has gained extensive experience hiking throughout the region, backcountry camping across southern Ontario, and canoeing its many lakes. Currently, Emily is exploring nature-based therapy training, with the goal of incorporating it more fully into her practice by 2030. She believes in the restorative power of nature and its ability to foster healing, resilience, and self-discovery.
